Start making a list and begin shopping for your Daniel Fast items as soon as you’re able.  If you plan and prepare ahead of time, you’re less likely to cheat and more apt to succeed when what you need is within arms reach.

Remember meats, sugars, sugar substitutes, yeast, bread, white flour, vinegar, caffeine, food additives and chemicals (colors and dyes, MSG, sulfites, nitrites) are not allowed on the Daniel Fast.  If you want to add dried foods such as dried fruit or chiles, make sure that they do not contain added sulfites.

Eating on a Daniel Fast can be less costly than eating a standard American diet (SAD).  If you shop and compare, it might surprise you that the Daniel Fast at cashier checkout is easier on the wallet.
